\"\"This week all new Second Year pupils were given a copy of the Saint Ninian’s Primary Essay Competition Booklet that marked the Centenary of Catholic Education.<\/p>\n

During 2018 the young people of Primary 7 from our associated primary schools, Our Lady of the Missions, Saint Cadoc\u2019s, Saint Joseph\u2019s and Primary 6 pupils from Saint Clare\u2019s, submitted an essay on one of the titles below as part of our commemoration of the \u20181918\u2013 2018 Centenary of Catholic Education in Scotland.’\u00a0<\/i>The topics were:<\/p>\n

  1. The motto of Saint Ninian\u2019s is \u201cFloreat Iuventus\u201d which means \u201cLet Youth Flourish\u201d. How has your Catholic education helped you to flourish?<\/li>\n
  2. Describe a teacher who has cared for you and inspired you to become a good person.<\/li>\n
  3. Why is it important for us to learn about Jesus and the Church?<\/li>\n
  4. Growing in responsibility.<\/li>\n
  5. Why I pray.<\/li>\n
  6. How I put my faith into action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
