{"id":20557,"date":"2018-09-06T10:26:31","date_gmt":"2018-09-06T09:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/?p=20557"},"modified":"2018-09-06T10:26:31","modified_gmt":"2018-09-06T09:26:31","slug":"national-human-biology-award-alexander-macdonald","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/national-human-biology-award-alexander-macdonald\/","title":{"rendered":"National Human Biology Award &#8211; Alexander MacDonald"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Royal Society of Biology in Scotland awards annually, a prize to the pupil gaining the top mark in Scotland for an SQA biology subject at Higher and Advanced level.<\/p>\n<p>It is with great pleasure therefore that we can reveal that last year&#8217;s Sixth Year pupil, <strong>Alexander MacDonald<\/strong>, has achieved the top mark in Scotland for SQA Human Biology Higher grade.<\/p>\n<p>He will\u00a0receive his award certificate at the \u201cScience and the Parliament\u201d event hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry at Our Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh on 14th November 2018.<\/p>\n<p>We are extremely proud of Alexander who embraced all that St Ninian&#8217;s offered through his academic studies but also the wider life of the school including representing the school football team\u00a0who won two Scottish Cups and through a variety of activities as Depute Head Boy.<\/p>\n<p>We wish Alexander all the very best as he starts Medical School at Glasgow University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Royal Society of Biology in Scotland awards annually, a prize to the pupil gaining the top mark in Scotland for an SQA biology subject at Higher and Advanced level.
