{"id":19849,"date":"2018-05-16T10:53:01","date_gmt":"2018-05-16T09:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/?p=19849"},"modified":"2018-05-16T10:53:01","modified_gmt":"2018-05-16T09:53:01","slug":"human-body-structure-and-function","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/human-body-structure-and-function\/","title":{"rendered":"Human Body Structure and Function"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">Congratulations to our S6 pupils who passed their recent assessment and have successfully completed their Human Body Structure and Function (HBS&amp;F) course, which is delivered in the school by Val Morrow \u2013 a lecturer from West College Scotland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">HBS&amp;F is a double credit unit at SCQF Level 8 and as such it entails approx. 80 hours of teaching and 80 hours of study and equates to Year 2 of university biology degree programmes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">The unit offers the opportunity to extend knowledge and develop an understanding of selected body systems and how the human body co-ordinates these systems to maintain homeostasis.
