Well done to the following S5 and S6 girls who participated in the JP Morgan – Generation Tech event.<\/p>\n

There were around 60 girls from all over Scotland. The aim of the event was to challenge the girls to think about how technology could be used for social good.<\/p>\n

The girls were split into groups of 3-5 and were allocated a professional to each group. Each group was given the task of working collaboratively to design either an app or website which would assist, solve or provide information on social issues such as poverty, education and hunger.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zaynab Sarguroh (5a3), Shona McGibbon (5a1) and Erin Leahy (5a7) were part of the team \u00a0who won third place. \u00a0Everyone in their group was given an Alexa Dot! This is an excellent achievement for Zaynab, Shona, Erin and for all of the girls involved.<\/p>\n
