Michael McGrade and Holly Edgar were representing St Ninian\u2019s at Holy Cross High School in Hamilton and presented a powerful opposition to the motion that performance enhancing drugs should be permitted in professional sports, securing a place in the semi-finals. Both Michael and Holly worked incredibly hard to draw together the most compelling evidence in their case, delivering well-structured and highly convincing speeches on the night and tackling the proposition\u2019s counter-arguments with ease . The tournament has so far been an excellent opportunity for the pupils to develop their skills in critical thinking, learn how to rebut arguments in a fast-paced environment and grow in confidence as debaters.
