Mr Docherty warmly welcomed them into the school. They were given a tour of the school by Mr Kerr, visiting all the different departments before coming to the Confucius Classroom to speak to\u00a0pupils who are currently studying Mandarin. Together, they learned a Chinese dance \u2018Xiao Pingguo\u2019 , and sang both Chinese and Scottish songs. The Hong Kong pupils performed their newly learned traditional song, \u201cScotland the Brave\u201d on their bagpipes. Their musical ability was particularly impressive and they were enthusiastically listened to by a large group of students from various year groups. Everyone enjoyed the visit and it promoted understanding and cultural awareness.
