{"id":14026,"date":"2016-09-14T19:26:49","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T18:26:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/?p=14026"},"modified":"2016-09-14T21:21:44","modified_gmt":"2016-09-14T20:21:44","slug":"the-rosary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StNinians\/the-rosary\/","title":{"rendered":"The Rosary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Tomorrow is the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take time out of your busy life to spend time with Our Lady reciting the Rosary\u00a0and reflecting on some of the most significant and poignant moments in the life of Our Lady as she journeyed through life with her most beloved Son, Jesus.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Rosary<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pope John Paul II encouraged praying the Rosary during adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in <em>Rosarium Virgine Mariae, <\/em>issued in October 2002, initiating the Year of the Rosary. He also added five \u201cmysteries\u201d from Our Lord\u2019s life on earth to this ancient devotion, which begins with the Apostles Creed, the Our Father (Lord\u2019s Prayer), the \u201cGlory be&#8230;\u201d (Doxology), followed by the Hail Mary (<em>Ave Maria<\/em>) repeated ten times, one on each bead of the \u201cdecades\u201d of a set of Rosary beads.
