Five Steps to Wellbeing and Race Across Europe:

The PE department online learning over the next few weeks is based on the Saint Ninian’s Five Steps to Wellbeing. Each week we are concentrating on one of these steps, giving pupils the opportunity to introduce these into their daily lives. This week the focus is ‘Take Notice’, introducing this step to pupils whilst also sharing different ideas and strategies for introducing these step into their daily lives.

Please access the slides that have been shared with pupils this week here: Take Notice – 5 Steps to Wellbeing

The wellbeing step of ‘Be Active’ is the overarching theme that pupils will complete each week alongside one of the other steps. We have set pupil’s a ‘Be Active’ challenge aiming to accumulate enough kilometres as BGE group to reach Istanbul before the Easter break (Race across Europe). Pupils will share their weekly covered kilometres on Google Classroom. We will then total this up and share the progress with the pupils through the department Twitter account.

Five Steps to Wellbeing and Race Across Europe:

Over the coming weeks Physical Education online learning for BGE pupils will be based around the Saint Ninian’s Five Steps to Wellbeing. These steps are:  Connect, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Give and Be Active.  Each week we will concentrate on one of these steps, uploading a PowerPoint and Video on Google Classroom, considering different ways that pupils can introduce these steps into their daily lives. Over the four weeks there will have a large emphasis on the ‘Be Active’ challenge through the BGE ‘Race across Europe’ Initiative. Pupils are encouraged to try and cover as many kilometres as possible each week by Walking, Running or Cycling. Pupils can then upload their weekly totals on Google Classroom. There will also be weekly progress updates on the Saint Ninian’s Physical Education department Twitter.
