Equestrian Club

The Equestrian Club end of term Games Afternoon was held on Wednesday 17 June at Hazelden Equestrian Centre. Pupils enjoyed team games, a ‘Handy Pony’ competition (testing the skills of both horse and rider) and a game of Musical Statues – not easy as there are a lot of limbs that might move after the music stops!

The winning team was Azraa Abdulai (S3), Aanya Carruth (S2) and Caitlin McCusker (S4). Jessica Speirs (S2), Holly Edgar (S3) and Katie McManus (S2) came second and Olivia Burke (S2), Katie Dexter (S3) and Liam Harvey (S2) came a close third.

The ‘Handy Pony’ competition was won by Jessica Speirs riding Pepper, Azraa Abdulai was second on Duke, Olivia Burke on Tigger was third, Liam Harvey and Oscar were fourth, Holly Edgar riding Cookie was fifth and Katie McManus on Ringo was sixth. First in Musical Statues was Holly, Olivia was second, Caitlin on Ed was third and Aanya riding Nero was fourth.

Thank you to Hazelden for kindly donating the lovely rosettes the pupils received at the end of the afternoon. Well done to all of the pupils who participated – they were a credit to themselves and to the school. The Club will begin again after the summer holidays. Watch out for information on the plasma screens and at assemblies!
