{"id":5653,"date":"2016-02-24T18:23:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-24T17:23:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StMarks\/?p=5653"},"modified":"2016-02-24T18:23:56","modified_gmt":"2016-02-24T17:23:56","slug":"art-iculate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/StMarks\/2016\/02\/24\/art-iculate\/","title":{"rendered":"ART-iculate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">A literacy and Visual Arts Adventure<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This term <strong>ART-iculate 2016<\/strong> has a photography twist.\u00a0This is a fantastic opportunity for P6 and P7 children to immerse themselves in analysing some of the world\u2019s most iconic photographs.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s choice to analyse\/ read photography ties in with the theme of St Mark\u2019s Art Show, which is contemporary photography. This will be led and delivered by the pupils of photography club. A challenging project!<\/p>\n<p>P7 and P6 will be given an opportunity this term to choose and research a photograph from a portfolio of images ranging from 1932 surrealists, graphic designers to photo journalists of 1980\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>They will then take part in an upper school <strong>ART-iculate <\/strong>competition, to orally present their findings. The finalist will compete in St Mark\u2019s Art Exhibition, 2016.
