Healthcare Support Worker (Nursing Assistant/Auxiliary Nurse) with the NHS

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is working in partnership with the Prince’s Trust to deliver a 6 week pre employment training programme suitable for anyone aged between 16 and 30 who is currently not in employment or education/returning to education  who wants to begin a career as a Healthcare Support Worker (Nursing Assistant/Auxiliary Nurse) with the NHS.

Following a period of classroom training delivered by NHS professionals you will undertake a 3 week work placement as a Healthcare Support Worker placed on Hospital Wards in either Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock or the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

Please note this is not a work experience programme – all those who successfully complete the training and work placement are guaranteed an interview for a job as a Healthcare Support Worker therefore only candidates who are interested in employment as a Healthcare Support Worker (Nursing Assistant/Auxiliary Nurse) need apply.
