Playwriting Opportunity

Playwriting

 P7 – S4

Tips, games and creative exercises to get the ideas flowing: from mind to paper to actors in performance. Exploring character, plot and genres, each participant will be supported in working on their own short script. This is writing for fire and fascination – perfect punctuation not a prerequisite!

At the end of the process the scripts will be performed by actors on the stage at Eastwood Park Theatre for an invited audience.

East Renfrewshire Carers’ Centre

Are you a parent caring for a child or young person with a diagnosis of Asperger’s?

Would you like the chance to meet up with other parents in East Renfrewshire doing the same?

Then come along and Get Connected!

This evening is intended to give those caring for children and young people with Asperger’s an opportunity to meet with other parents, have time away from caring, share valuable information, get connected and talk with people who understand. This informal evening has been arranged in response to requests from this particular group of parent carers for opportunities that will reduce isolation and provide peer support.

In St. John’s Primary School we wish your child to move from Nursery to

primary one with confidence and to build on his / her pre school education

and experience.

We have a programme in place that supports your child’s move

from nursery to school which allows them to visit the school

over the coming months in friendship groups from Arthurlie

and Carlibar, or if your child attends another nursery an

invitation will be extended to your child to attend. During this

time we will liaise with your child’s nursery to ensure a smooth transition.

We will support you and offer advice in the next steps of your child’s

education and have planned induction days for parents and their children

on the following dates:

 Monday 2nd June 1.45pm – 2.45pm Welcome to St. John’s

 Monday 9th June 1.45pm – 2.45pm Your child’s Learning Experience.

available and parents / carers / grandparents will be given the opportunity

to see round the school and speak to staff.

opportunity to take part in various activities

within the classroom as well as getting to

know each other before they start in August
