Careers Advice and Information Day, in partnership with Skills Development Scotland (SDS), Sat, 30 Aug, 2-5PM, at the Woodfarm Education Centre (WEC), 1 Burms Grove, Giffnock G46 7HF<\/p>\n
Following the Careers Advice and Information Day organised in 2012, WEC is delighted to present this year’s event with the exciting Theme:<\/p>\n
“Growing Ambitions”, with a range of activities organised to inspire pupils, including:<\/p>\n
– hearing inspiring speakers introduce you to a world outside your regular communities and ideas of work<\/p>\n
– representatives from Skills Development Scotland, the NHS and Police Scotland attending to give presentations on relevant career choices.<\/p>\n
– information and advice from experienced professionals on a range of career options including Law, Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry, IT, Accountancy, Local Government, Engineering, Media, Business Management, Politics and Modern Apprenticeships.<\/p>\n
– advice on arranging visits to real-world workplaces, and appropriate high-quality work experiences that properly reflect individuals\u2019<\/p>\n
studies and strengths and support the academic curriculum<\/p>\n
