Your Parenting Plan is a guide for parents who are separating or who have never lived together, to help them make practical arrangements for their children. Developed by The Scottish Government, in conjunction with a number of key agencies, the Plan has been designed to help parents work together to make sure that the needs of their children are met in the best way possible.
WANTED: Volunteer Trainers for Vodafone #CodeLikeAGirl programme This summer, Vodafone UK will be running an extensive global training programme for GIRLS aged 14-18, to help them engage with the technology industry and encourage them to consider technology as a career path in the future. Vodafone has launched two work experience programmes. Here is the all the information you need: Ignite Work Experience Week What does it involve? This will provide students with the opportunity to complete a 1 week placement at one of our Vodafone offices in an area of their choice. Students will gain industry focused skills, valuable experience and develop a business network which will help to kick-start their exciting future careers!

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and this year the focus is on stress. The Mental Health Foundation states that research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetime, and stress is a key factor in this. A meeting was held today for pupils planning to carry out their work experience with the NHS Greater Glasgow. This applies to student hoping to have their placement in hospital departments only. GP’s, Dental Practices, Physiotherapist practices etc. are not NHS placements for the purpose of the Work Experience application. Pupils should have received their Work Experience packs today during RE. In their packs they will find the following: Information booklet Self found placement form WorkIT username and password (jobs are likely to be uploaded in mid June) Parental Consent form – to be returned to Pastoral teacher next week Pupils should start to actively seek a placement and return the completed green form as soon as possible to their Pastoral Support
Pupils looking to apply for Work Experience with the NHS should attend a meeting in the Lecture Theatre on Friday 11th May at 12.20.
