These courses enable pupils to understand and use a modern language, to apply their knowledge of a modern language, and to develop planning, research and language skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">National 5 French\/Spanish<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The National 5 course aims to enable pupils to develop the ability to read, listen, talk and write in a foreign language; that is to understand and use French\/Spanish and to apply their knowledge and understanding of the language.
