This week we’ll cover\u00a0<\/span>dot maps<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0isoline maps<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>You can find these on the\u00a0<\/span>Maps & Diagrams<\/span><\/a>\u00a0page.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dot maps\u00a0<\/span>show the spatial distribution of data, but in my experience can be hard to construct by hand. We’ll do some work on the analysis of dot maps, as these may come up in your exam.<\/span><\/p>\n

You’ll be quite familiar with\u00a0<\/span>isoline maps<\/span>, although you might not know them by this name. Synoptic charts, OS maps, climate maps and several of the maps on the walls of the Geography classroom are isoline. Your isoline activities will be completed on paper, which you should collect. Isoline maps can show the spatial distribution of many types of data and, depending on your project, you may be able to use one as part of your Geographical Study.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
