Engineering Science
This year 1st year pupils will be getting an introduction to Engineering Science; a fantastic course that looks at a range of exciting and practical aspects of Engineering including mechanisms, structures and forces, pneumatics, and electronics and control systems. Pupils will be able to consider Engineering Science as an option for studying at National 4 and 5 levels and moving towards offering this as a Higher subject.
Mr Hallett’s S1 N class have been blazing the trail and they showed off their skills in bridge design and building.
Team 2 of Megan Doig, Eva Fitzpatrick, Maria Gallagher and Bakhita Harkins were the winners of the competition with a bridge span of 4 sections over 2 layers and a failure weight of 6.3 Kg.
