The second year course in Chemistry consists of three units of work which provide an excellent foundation for both National 4 and 5 courses:

•  Substances and Reactions
• Gases and Life
• Acids and Metals

Throughout the course pupils develop their knowledge and understanding of Chemistry and its importance in our everyday life. The practical work throughout the course allows pupils to develop their scientific, investigative and problem solving skills.

Pupil progress is monitored by regular homework and end of topic assessments.
