Commencing academic year 2019\/20 Accounting will be offered for pupils to study in S2.<\/p>\n
The S2 course will develop basic understanding of key concepts required for the study of Accounting at a National 5 level. Taking a project based approach, as with all of our other S2 subjects, pupils will be immersed in scenarios designed to develop and enhance skills required for life, learning and work.<\/p>\n
Accounting is offered by the Scottish Qualification Authority at National 5 upward. This means that there is no opportunity for pupils to be presented at National 4. It is important that this fact is considered along with a pupil’s numeracy level before selecting this subject.<\/p>\n
The Higher Accounting<\/a> Course enables learners to understand and\u00a0use financial information, so that they can prepare accounting statements and analyse, interpret and report on an organisation\u2019s financial performance.
