When sharing ideas about the focus of our ‘People in Society’ Social Studies topic, the children showed an awareness of the increased profile of the Black Lives Matter movement during our time away from school. We therefore decided as a class that this would be the focus of our first term topic. Take a look at the kinds of things that we are interested in exploring. We are interested in the movement in America but also in the longer term experience of black people in America.
