In Social Studies, we have been finding out about the past. We have been looking at different types of evidence and using this for our research. We have watched TV programmes, looked at photographs and read books.  This helps us to find out about how people used to live. We wrote and drew beautiful portraits of our gorgeous grans.

In Science, we have been exploring our senses and the world around us by conducting lots of fun experiments.  We have tasted, listened carefully, used feely bags, sorted and classified. We know how to conduct fair experiments. We are definitely super scientists!

In Literacy and English, we have been writing instructions, writing letters and creating amazing diamond poems.  We are trying to improve our vocabulary and our reading books are helping us. We love discussing our books and can show off our knowledge in our comprehension activities. We are now doing spelling tests on a Friday-we love this!

In Numeracy and Mathematics, we are working on horizontal and vertical addition.  We are working hard to make sure our layout in our jotters is just perfect.  We love oral maths and we love to sing!  This helps us be more confident and quicker with our number facts.  Thanks for helping me with my mental maths homework.

We are now practising for The Nativity and we love it!  We all have a special role and are so excited. We think you will love it and you might even shed a little tear.

We hope this gives you a little flavour of what we have been up to this term.  As we said at the top, we have been very busy.
