Activity Week Adventure Videos!
Cluster Sports Challenge!
We enjoyed taking part in the Cluster Challenge today where we undertook some activities and had our scores recorded. These will be compared with the other Cluster P7 scores next week! Well done to Mia who demonstrated wonderful levels of fitness in the 10 minute run and achieved the highest number of lengths!
Coding with Mr Hull!
Many thanks to Mr Hull who visited the school to teacher the children about coding! We used the Spheros and the MicroBits. We have learned lots of new skills that we look forward to developing!
Activity Week Adventures!
Speedy Sail Trials – Generation Science
We progressed though all of the Generation Science design steps to reach the testing stage for our Speedy Sails! Within the class there were different kinds AND positioning of wheels and sails but it was Aaron S’s double sail design that won in the end! His Speedy Sail travelled the longest distance down the corridor. We then all spoke about what we would do differently next time and how we could reduce the friction or improve the direction of our inventions. Well done, everyone! Miss Mac.
Speedy Sails – Generation Science Challenge!
P7a have worked really hard to design streamlined planes as part of the planning stage for the Speedy Sails challenge. Well done to Aaron whose plane travelled the longest distance due to the extra number of times he folded the paper, the sharp nose he created and its perfectly symmetrical design. We will take what we’ve learned into the next stage!
Visit from St. Luke’s Pupil Support Team!
We really enoyed having another opportunnity to ask questions and find out more details about our upcoming transition to high school. Many thanks to Mr Toal and Mrs. McKenzie for beinging some St. Luke’s uniforms for us to try on.

Bank Cards – National Numeracy Day
Today we learned about the risks and benefits of using credit cards We hope to be responsible with money when we are older. Blog by Mia. We did simple interest calculations to find out how debt can go up and up quickly!
