Here are the first group to complete our Treasure Hunt today! Their knowledge of coordinates was fantastic! We’ll now input our maths answers that were attached to the clues into our Google Form and see how we did! We love learning outdoors and collaborating!

Maths Week Day 2!
P7 really enjoyed today’s Deputy First Minister’s Challenge related to proportion. We first drew a diagram as our starting point and then as we proceeded through the challenge the children got to know the formula for working out the area of a triangle! That was a tough one today but we talked it out and navigated our way as always!
Maths Week Scotland!
Student of the Week – Aaron L!
I am delighted to say that Aaron is the recipient of our most recent Student of the Week award! Aaron has worked hard to adopt a positive outlook in class and to turn negatives into positives. He even helps others to achieve this by giving them advice too! Take a look at what his classmates have to say about him in their comments…
Black Lives Matter (Social Studies)
When sharing ideas about the focus of our ‘People in Society’ Social Studies topic, the children showed an awareness of the increased profile of the Black Lives Matter movement during our time away from school. We therefore decided as a class that this would be the focus of our first term topic. Take a look at the kinds of things that we are interested in exploring. We are interested in the movement in America but also in the longer term experience of black people in America. We will explore this within our class novel ‘Chains’ which deals with the issue of slavery.
Bikeability! (Health & Wellbeing)
Today we enjoyed our first session of Bikeability and the children displayed great positivity and range of skills. This session took place within the school MUGA but we look forward to applying what we have learned on quiet roads near the school on Friday. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing for the weather when you come to school on Friday, boys and girls!
