Script Writing
P6a have started their new novel”The Witches” by Roald Dahl. They used their reading skills to create images of a witch based on the description in the novel. They then created scripts with a partner to inform the public of the characteristics of a witch.
They acted these out and recorded them with Ipads.
These have been uploaded onto the class Google classroom for viewing.

Welcome back to Term 2!
PE days are still Tuesday, indoors and Friday, outdoors. However, this may change once our Bikeability dates are confirmed with Bikeability Scotland. Please check this blog regularly for updates.
Homework has been assigned via Education city. This is a revision of Numeracy skills and has been assigned for 4 weeks to allow pupils to complete all activities.
Spelling homework’s has been assigned for the term. this should be completed weekly and handed in by Friday. Pupils should write each word 3 time and complete a multi sensory activity for each word. As with last term, this does not have to be written but  can be active such as creating spelling words with sticks, back writing or using shaving foam.
This terms topic will be Europe and the learners have designed their curriculum based on their interests. We are looking forward to learning all about other countries and cultures. If you have any European artefacts we would welcome your child sharing them with the class.
This week Kara brought in some lava that she had found in Lanzarote!
The children expressed their love of Star Wars and we used this in maths by completing some Baby Yoda algebra.
