P5 and P6’s visit to see Chris Riddle

On Monday the 12th of September p5/p6 went to Springhill and Achenbach  to see Chris Riddle. First he drew some pictures of him or us. Then he told us a bit about him self like he was the children’s laureate for 2015 to 2017. He had a daughter called Katie he said once he had lots of drawings for a very important person and didn’t have a story and was very nervous about it about it. He also said he had a secret studio at the back of his garden and his neighbours thought he couldn’t hear them talk. Then he answered some questions from us. Finally he let us buy his books.

Primary 5/6

Welcome to the blog for Primary 6.

This year in Primary 5/6 we have an exciting year planned. Our Term 1 topic will be the Victorians and we will be learning about important inventions and Scottish inventors to add a STEM aspect to the topic, along with life for the rich and poor people of Scotland under Queen Victoria’s rule.

Pupils from P5/6 will be taking ownership of their blogs this year and will post updates on a rotational basis commencing in September. You will also find regular photos and information on our class activities on the schools Twitter feed.

Welcome to the new academic year 🙂
