On Tuesday we took part in the P7 St Luke’s Ceilidh with St John’s and St Thomas’. It was fun learning the new dances and we had a great time dancing with our friends and also seeing our new friends from Lockerbie again!
P7 had the most incredible week at Lockerbie Manor. We met new friends, had new experiences, overcame new challenges and we also loved the food! We are all so proud of ourselves. It was an amazing and tiring week!
Thank you to SCIAF for visiting P7a, teaching us more about the importance of water around the world and helping us create our very own raindrop prayers.
In preparation for the 100 year anniversary of the end of WW1, the P7a pupils came up with some questions they would most like answered about WW1. The children then tried to answer their own questions using technology and research skills.
P7a had to use their reading detective skills to find out what a mysterious German leaflet was. After lots of questioning, clarifying, reasoning and research we discovered it was a British propaganda leaflet dropped into Germany during WW2!
Thanks to the St Luke’s sports coaches who came in to work with P7a for a few weeks. The children loved the activities, especially the ones with the parachute!
