Thank You

As we break up for the summer holidays, everyone at Robslee would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our friends and families who have supported us over the years.

Wishing everyone a happy summer.

Mrs Ferguson

Congratulations to our Playground Committees!

As you will be fully aware, this year our pupils and staff have worked extremely hard to plan for and make improvements to Giffnock’s school playground. I am sure you will agree that the playground is unrecognisable from that of less than a year ago.

Our Director of Education, Mrs Shaw, has been so impressed with the work of pupils and staff she has contacted them directly to acknowledge their hard work and offer her support to ensure that the final stages of the development will be completed during the school holidays. Please click here to read Mrs Shaw’s letter to our Pupil Council. With the addition of the £5000 donation from our Parent Council, we will be able to invest in equipment to enhance the variety of sports on offer as well as develop the Adventure/ Eco Area further.

We would like to thank our pupils from Primaries 5 and 6 for their hard work over the year in creating an environment that has been exceptionally well received by all pupils and will be a highlight for all who attend in years to come.

Walk Through The Decades – at Robslee Primary School on Wednesday 11th June: 6pm – 7.30pm

We would like to express our thanks to all those who attended our  ‘Walk Through the Decades’ evening at Robslee which was a great success. It was lovely to see all the pupils, parents and staff past & present. We hope you managed to find a small memento of your time here!

If however  you mistakenly took a framed photograph of class 75/76, which was kindly loaned to the school from a former pupil from that class for that evening only, could you please inform the school. We would be happy for you to take a copy but return the original to Robslee or Giffnock PS.  Thanking you, in anticipation.

‘Clean up Scotland campaign’

Robslee Pupils helping 'Keep Scotland Beautiful'

On Wednesday 28th May The Eco Committee made a pledge to support this campaign and it’s Clean Up Scotland campaign by helping to clean up the local area surrounding the school. They filled 4 bags of litter. What a difference they made.

Walk Through The Decades – at Robslee Primary School on Wednesday 11th June: 6pm – 7.30pm

Walk Through The Decades – Robslee Primary School 11th June 2014

In preparing for our ‘Walk Through the Decades’ evening on Wednesday 11th June we have found many photographs and mementos of the last 50 years and we look forward to sharing them with you.

We would be delighted to see any photographs or memorabilia you may have and wish to bring on the night. We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday 6:00-7:30pm.

Equalities Showcase

The last Equalities Forum of session 2013/14 will take place on Thursday 15th May at 7pm in Eastwood High School.  There will be an opportunity for those attending to hear from a few schools about the excellent practice which has been going on in the area of Equalities.  There will also be some display materials from schools on show.  All parents are welcome to attend.

COMMONWEALTH DAY 2014

The day was a great success, the children loved trying the different sports and learning new skills. The highlight for many was the Baton Relay as they tried to beat other teams. The ‘teams from the different countries’ worked really well together, encouraging one another and took great pride wearing their team colour and waving their flag.

Money Week

Children from all classes have been working hard to develop their understanding of money.  Each class has been learning how to count and budget their money as well as hopefully make a profit.  Primary 6 have also been working alongside Virgin Money to create their own mini-business with the investment of £5.  An article on the ERC website can be found here

All classes invite you to attend the whole school assembly on Friday 28th March from 2.15pm, where representatives from each class will talk you through their project.
