{"id":7032,"date":"2016-04-18T15:57:42","date_gmt":"2016-04-18T14:57:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/OurLadyMissions\/?p=7032"},"modified":"2016-04-18T15:58:24","modified_gmt":"2016-04-18T14:58:24","slug":"confirmation-letters-and-booklets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/OurLadyMissions\/2016\/04\/18\/confirmation-letters-and-booklets\/","title":{"rendered":"Confirmation Letters and Booklets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Confirmation\u00a0 Letter &#8211; \u00a0Primary 7\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Holy Name<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The children from Holy Name parish will be confirmed on Sunday 24<sup>th<\/sup> April during the 12.15 Mass.\u00a0 Rows will be reserved for the confirmandi, parents and sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>Children should wear full school uniform.<\/p>\n<p>Father Burke will have a meeting with parents at a date prior to Confirmation, more information will be published in the Church bulletin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Confirmation Letter &#8211; \u00a0St. Mirin\u2019s Cathedral\u00a0 Thursday 21<sup>st<\/sup> April at 7pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are delighted that the children will be confirmed by Bishop John Keenan.<\/p>\n<p>An information sheet for sponsors is attached. It will also be on the school website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please see below some practical arrangements for the Mass. <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children should wear full school uniform; shirt and tie, black shoes<\/li>\n<li>Due to the numbers involved, there is a suggested maximum of 5 guests per family (including sponsor)<\/li>\n<li>Children and sponsors will meet teachers in the Cathedral Hall <strong>by 6.30pm. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Parents should go directly to the Cathedral where seats have been allocated on a first come basis behind the children and sponsors.<\/li>\n<li>The procession into the Cathedral will begin by 6.45pm, pairing child and sponsor within each school group<\/li>\n<li>Children will be seated on right side (pulpit side); sponsors on left<\/li>\n<li>There should be no filming or taking of photographs during Mass<\/li>\n<li>The Cathedral car park will not be available for parking; there is limited open parking on the right hand side of Gartmore Lane and some on Paisley Road, while the nearest public parking is in the car park opposite the Lagoon Leisure Centre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Mrs. Devlin<\/p>\n<p><strong>Confirmation Letter &#8211; St. Vincent\u2019s Church Monday 25<sup>th<\/sup> April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please find attached an information leaflet for your child\u2019s sponsor.
