Our Global Citizenship Committee plays an important part in working with and for the school community, to explore global issues and find ways to equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and values they need to become successful global citizens in today’s society.
Each stage has a representative who attends frequent meetings and will feedback to classes. Our Chairperson, Vice Chair and Early Years link play a key role in supporting staff in the effective running of the group.

Mr Shikwesha and the children of Pokola Primary, Zambia
We have built a strong relationship with our partner school Pokola Primary in Zambia. In January 2012 Mr Shikwesha, the Head Teacher, came to Netherlee with a colleague to learn about our education system and reciprocal visit was made the following April by Miss MacNamee and Mrs Edgar. Since then we have shared resources, information and learning. In addition to raising money for a local orphanage, we have sent over a container of books which have been invaluable to the children of Pokola Primary. We look forward to continuing to build on this relationship.
Further information about our Representatives for the new session will appear soon.
