Junior Road Safety

A note from……

Netherlee Primary Parent Council and Junior Road Safety Officers

As part of Road Safety Awareness week we would like to thank all the parents who continue to park responsibly. For all of us the safety of our children is of paramount importance and through parking well you are reducing the chance of any of our children being put at risk.

Sadly at Netherlee Primary we do not have enough parking to accommodate all pick-ups and drops offs. Unfortunately this has led to some people parking in a way that puts our children at risk

To try and alleviate the grid lock that can occur at Netherlee Pavilion car park and the area immediately surrounding it we have undernoted a map showing safe, alternative and legal places to park.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the staff car park is not available for pick-up and drop off.

All we ask is that before you park on that double yellow line, zig zag lines at the pedestrian crossing, the entrance to the school, double park in the Pavilion Car Park or park in the staff car park look at the map for one of the alternatives.

We have had several reported near misses this term and numerous comments from our children of incidents where they have been scared of being hit by a car.

Thanks for giving this your attention
