We have had a good and settled week in school and nursery. Despite the weather, we have had lots of super learning taking place outdoors – please remember to follow us on Twitter so that you can enjoy seeing what is happening in Netherlee. I am delighted that our staff and pupil attendance rates remain very high and I want to thank you for continuing to follow all NHS and Scottish Government guidance and advice in relation to attendance procedures and safe practice etc.
Could I please ask for the support of our P6 and P7 parents by asking you to remind your child that their mobile phone should be switched off and in their schoolbag from the moment they arrive in the playground please? Mrs Roberts has been round the senior classes to remind the children of this already however, unfortunately, we have had a small number of children continuing to use them this week in the playground. Many thanks for your support with this.
We are very much looking forward to our Parent Council AGM and meeting on Wednesday of next week, PC Agenda and PC Invite attached. It would be really lovely to see lots of our new P1 parents joining us as well as any other new parents from other stages of the school too. The Parent Council is a really useful way of hearing about key developments that are taking place across the school and council, as is our School and Nursery Improvement Plan which is available on our website.
PE Kits – as mentioned in last week’s update, our children are now able to get changed for outdoor PE. Children should wear their normal uniform to school but can, if they wish wear a school polo shirt instead of shirt and tie on PE days.
Just a short update this week but please remember to get in touch at any time.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
