Equality is one of our school\u2019s core values.\u00a0 We are proud of our richly diverse school community and pupils of all backgrounds and personal circumstances are welcome at Mearns Castle High School.<\/p>\n

We have an active Pride group, Friday\u2019s prayers for Muslim pupils, a Scripture Union, Jewish Lunch Club and Hindu Lunch Club.<\/p>\n

Our school, hosts inter-faith assemblies to raise awareness of the ways different families will celebrate and recognise festivals and key events throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Our monthly School Updates provide a rich summary of our any activities promoting Equality.<\/p>\n

We are committed to fulfilling our duties within the Equality Act 2010, ensuring that all members of our school community with Protected Characteristics are respected and free from discrimination.\u00a0 Our Equalities Co-ordinator is Mr Nuvdeep Singh (Acting PT Social Justice & Equalities) and he can be contacted at the school if any support is required.<\/p>\n\n
