Miss Evans and Miss Devon are producing a production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your talent with local primary pupils singing in the chorus.

Over the next few months S6 pupils will need to be paying for the above in instalments. While final costs have still to be decided the process has to start now… so get your money in!!!!

The bookfair continues in the library this week until Thursday 5 Dec. There are over 200 new book titles to choose from as well as posters, pencils, bookmarks and other stationery.
The bookfair will be open before school every day from 8.30am, also every lunchtime at 12.55pm and after school until 4pm.
Pupils from all year groups are welcome to visit the bookfair during these times.
Congratulations to our S3 Public Speaking team (Scott Miller, Claudia Marcusson and Callum Russell) for coming 2nd at the Grand Final of the Association of Speaker’s Club’s Youth Speech competition.
Once again they were excellent representatives of Mearns Castle and had a great result over some very tough competition.
The winners of Junior Master Chef 2013 are Anna Smith andAlice Gray. They produced a beautiful Lemon Soufflé with a Raspberry Coulis which really impressed the judges.
Anna and Alice’s Lemon Soufflé will be produced in the school canteen for Mearns Castle pupils to sample. It will also be added to the Red Onion Restaurants lunch menu and Anna and Alice will receive vouchers to dine there.
All of the twelve finalists produced superb dishes and it was not an easy decision for the judges. All twelve finalists will receive a Golden Dinner ticket for the week that Anna and Alice’s Soufflé is on the menu.
All consent forms for the S1/S2 Panto should be returned to the blue boxes outside the office by Friday 29 November. You will not be able to attend without a signed
