Those who would like to enter the Young Football Journalist competition must hand in the slip to Mr Murphy by Thursday 31st October. If you are unsure of what the competition is about then please speak to Mr Murphy.

Friday 6th December – Max. 500 word report submitted to Mr Murphy based on live game you have watched.

Auditions are taking place on Sunday 1 December at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland 100 Renfrew Street Glasgow. £5 Audition fee per person. Audition times are Under 14’s 12-3pm and adults 4-7pm
The show will take place in the New Athenaeum Theatre Monday 16 – Saturday 21 June 2014.

Congratulations to the S3 Public Speaking Team (Claudia Marcusson, Scott Miller and Eleanor Monks) on coming runners-up at the East Renfrewshire heat of the S3 Youth Speech Competition. They delivered very strong speeches against some tough competition, they were excellent representatives of Mearns Castle.
The team now have the honour of representing Mearns Castle again at the Regional Final at the Normandy Hotel on the 20th November.
