The Oscars

The Social Subjects faculty are proud to unveil their new achievement awards system. The ‘Oscars’ celebrate the hard work and effort that pupils display in class and in their work. Each teacher in the faculty chose criteria specific to individual year groups and classes which focused on areas which could be improved upon. Certificates were awarded under headings such as: neat jotter work, group work, improved attitude in class, homework development, use of sources in answers, past paper questions, discursive/D.M.E essays. By sharing the award criteria with pupils, they were aware of the success criteria and had a target to aim towards throughout the term.
