School admissions, pupil transfers from primary to secondary and placing requests will be administered in line with the new arrangements from January 2017 and beyond.  Any placing request application for school places in academic session 2017-18 submitted before January 2017 will be accepted however, please note that they will be processed in line with the new policy; there will be no need for parents/carers to submit another application.

As part of the changes to the arrangements, an online facility is now available for the submission of placing requests; please find the link below:

Christmas Holidays

The school closes for the Christmas holiday on Wednesday 21 December at 2.45pm. We open again at 8.45am on Thursday 5 January 2017.  We hope you all have a wonderful festive season.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.

Tuesday 20 December – S1 Christmas Theatre Trip

It’s just a few days before the English Department will be taking S1 pupils to the Citizens Theatre’s Christmas production, “Hansel and Gretel”.

Pupils should come straight to the Open Area at 8.43 am when the bell rings. They will have been told which bus they are travelling on and should sit with their bus leaders. This will be clearly signposted in the Open Area.

We would recommend that pupils should bring any snacks or drinks they may want with them to the theatre as there is unlikely to be enough time to buy sweets or drinks at the interval.

We are likely to arrive back at school towards the end of lunchtime so all pupils should bring a packed lunch which they will be given time to eat in the Open Area. The Open Area will not be open for food by the time we get back. Pupils will be supervised by English teachers until they have had time to eat and then pupils will go to their period 5 classes. Depending on our return time, pupils will arrive at their period 5 class at some point during the lesson. They will follow their usual timetable for the rest of the day. All pupils should make sure they bring their books and equipment for periods 5, 6 and 7 on Tuesday afternoon.
