(Article 6) of United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)<\/strong><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We strive to give our<\/strong> children<strong> the best and always ensure that each child\u2019s needs are at the centre of how we think about and plan for their unique development. With this in mind, we are taking the first steps of applying for a Bronze award in order to become a Rights Respecting School. (RRSA) This involves a whole school approach in educating our children and families what their rights are. To begin this process, we would appreciate if you could support your child to plant the daffodil bulb. When doing so, we ask that you discuss how to nurture and care for living things by giving food and water etc. and how you have the right to \u201cLife, Survival, and Development. (Article 6) This will hopefully ensure your child understands they have the right to be cared for and nurtured in order to flourish and become a unique individual. Over time, we will be carrying out various activities in order to introduce different rights within the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). More information will follow. We will also be celebrating the Holi festival \u2013 Festival of colour on Friday 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0March. If your child is able to wear something colourful within the week, that would be great. We will be organising many different experiences to bring awareness of Global Citizenship.
