Primary 1 went on a Spring Walk around the school grounds to look for signs of Spring.
We explored the area, looking for living things; plants, insects, birds.
We recorded our findings by taking notes, drawing and taking photographs.
We found plants, flowers, shrubs, ladybirds, vegetables, pine cones, a butterfly, birds, worms, spiders.

Primary 1 have explored and invented characters that have superpowers!
We have been learning to use WOW words to describe characters. Using WOW words makes our writing more interesting for anyone reading about our characters.
We gave our characters names and designed their costumes using the Marvel website.
P1 are inventing their own superhero characters and comic strips!
We made new characters using a variety of materials. We invented new avatar superheroes using the Interactive Whiteboard. We used WOW words to describe our Superheroe’s powers, talents and appearance.
We made our own comic strip books. We are awesome authors.
Sienna was responsible for making Mrs Toman’s face look even funnier!!!!!!!!
Primary 1 have been investigating living things and the change of seasons. We carried out investigations to test out theories of what plants need to grow.
We planted a variety of seeds and made predictions about the conditions required for growth and the possible outcomes. We will be observing our seeds and plants
over the next few weeks. Watch this space for our results……
Primary 1,2 & 3 had a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. We used our design, drawing and cutting skills to make unique hats for the party.
We also used our food handling skills to construct very special Mad Hatter biscuits.
A special guest arrived (who looked suspiciously like our Head Teacher Mrs Livingstone) and she exclaimed “There is no room!”
“There is plenty of room”, we all replied.
Unbirthday cards were made and not one person was late for a very important date.
The day after our Tea Party we all came to school dressed as a character from our favourite books.
