What’s going on here then??????

Mrs Dougall is a police officer and she came to visit P1.  She put handcuffs on Mrs Buchanan!

She told us all about the different tools she needs to do her job.  She can help us to stay safe in our community.

Keeping Safe
We got to see the baton.
She uses the baton to help her catch burglars and robbers.
We got to see her special radio. She can use it as a phone. She can find out if people have been naughty.
PC Mann
PC Ball
Mrs Buchanan was trapped in the handcuffs!
Mrs Dougall told us what numbers to use on the telephone in an emergency 999 If you just want task a question you can phone 101.
We got to try on the handcuffs. They were really heavy.
We enjoyed trying on the police hats. The man hat is different from the lady hat.

When I grow up I want to be……..

Primary 1 have been learning about different jobs and the roles that people play in our community.  From Nurses to Police, Musicians to Librarians………..

Mrs Moffat is a theatre nurse
She told us what happens when you get an operation and you have to go to sleep.
We practised using the breathing tube on the teddy.
Zaid used the stethoscope to listen to Mrs Moffat’s heart.
Skye got dressed as a doctor to perform an operation. You have to scrub your hands and wear a mask, gloves, gown, hat and plastic glasses!
Mrs Moffat told us about how the jags work.
Noah kept the patient breathing with the oxygen mask.

Learning is fun in the snow!

Working together to make a snowman
What will happen when the ice is heated by the sun?
Which one is bigger?
My hands will melt the ice
We are building a body and a head
Team work
Mine is bigger!
Look what we made!
I can make it bigger if I roll it in more snow.
Katie and Ben working together.
This is great fun!

Storytelling with Primary 4

Primary 4 read us their stories and let us see their fantastic illustrations!
P4 are awesome authors!
Bonnie proudly listened to her big brother Lachlan’s story.
P4 really enjoyed sharing their stories with us.
Daniel couldn’t choose a favourite. All the stories were great.
Captivated……..
