We had a fantastic day learning about Human Rights and raised the grand total of £461 pounds for ‘Save the Children’ charity. Children at Kirkhill learned how to take part in a Unicef campaign to protect children’s rights and thought about which of these rights were most important to them. We also had a guest speaker to tell us about the important work Save the Children undertakes at home and abroad and designed our own Christmas jumper bunting. Thank you to all parents and carers for your support for this worthwhile cause.
UN CRC Article 1
Everyone under the age of 18 has all the rights in the Convention.
Thank you to all parents for your kind donations to support Water Aid – our chosen charity for World Kindness Day.
In addition to learning about the charity, the children have had super fun shooting goals in the gym hall and creating a kindness tree where pupils have nominated someone who has been kind to them, all organised by our fantastic Welbies pupil group.
Thank you once again for supporting this worthwhile charity.

Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their donations to help refugees in Calais. The response was overwhelming and we have approximately 200 bags of much needed items.
On behalf of all the families that will benefit from your generous donations, a very warm and heart felt “thank you”.
