St. Andrew’s Day

Kirkhill is celebrating St.Andrew’s Day today. The choir will be singing ‘Auld Lang Syne’ while the saltire is raised on the flagpole. Gordon will be playing his bagpipes and we will attempt to create a human Saltire in the playground!

Get Safe Online

Get Safe Online is a UK joint initiative between government, law enforcement and leading businesses. They provide computer users and small businesses with free, independent user friendly advice that allows them to use the internet confidently and safely on a wide range of issues including how to protect and destroy a PC or mobile phone, recognise scams, protect privacy and what to do when things go wrong.E ast Renfrewshire Council are running a Get Safe Online Awareness campaign during the month of November, reaching out to staff, citizens and small businesses.

The Scottish Poppy Appeal

 The Pupil Council will be visiting every class to offer the pupils the opportunity to make a small donation towards “The Scottish Poppy Appeal”. In return the pupils will be given a poppy. Money raised through donations support war veterans and their families.

Cashless Catering

Pupils moving on to High School will unfortunately not be able to take their Cashless Catering PIN numbers with them.

Please ensure that their accounts are emptied before the last day of school, or any money left on the account will be lost.

Pupils will be issued with their National Entitlement Cards and PIN numbers when they arrive at High School. They will then be able to put money into their account.

P7 Graduation Ceremony

The P7 graduation ceremony is on Tuesday 26th June. The ceremony will start at 9.45am.  Due to health and safety restrictions, and with members of the school’s pupil groups also being present at the ceremony, unfortunately we only have room for two members of each pupil’s family to join us.


The Pupil Council has organised a “Readathon Day” for this term’s school fundraiser.

Our Readathon Day will take place on Friday 22nd June.  Please dress as your favourite character from a book:  £1 donation. Everyone will have the opportunity to read a book for enjoyment either from the class library or one from home.
