Parents and Secondary school pupils
Pupils moving on to High School will unfortunately not be able to take their Cashless Catering PIN numbers with them.
Please ensure that their accounts are emptied before the last day of school, or any money left on the account will be lost.
Pupils will be issued with their National Entitlement Cards and PIN numbers when they arrive at High School. They will then be able to put money into their account.
School will close at 1pm on Wednesday 27th June 2012.
Normal arrangements will apply for pupils using school transport.
The P7 graduation ceremony is on Tuesday 26th June. The ceremony will start at 9.45am. Due to health and safety restrictions, and with members of the school’s pupil groups also being present at the ceremony, unfortunately we only have room for two members of each pupil’s family to join us.
The P7 dance, this year titled ‘The Diamond Dance’, will take place on Thursday 21st June from 7pm until 9.30pm. The excitement is building by the day!
The Pupil Council has organised a “Readathon Day” for this term’s school fundraiser.
Our Readathon Day will take place on Friday 22nd June. Please dress as your favourite character from a book: £1 donation. Everyone will have the opportunity to read a book for enjoyment either from the class library or one from home.
The Primary 5 show will be taking place on Thursday 14th June. There will be two performances at 9.30am and 7pm.
The Parent Council Chairs Forum would like as many parents as possible to complete the following questionaire. Thankyou.
Parents should return the questionnaire to either Lisa McDill at the Barrhead Offices (by 22 June 2012) or return it to the school.
Kirkhill Primary raised a massive £4088.50 for Lepra Health in Action, which works to ensure that people with leprosy receive the treatment they need to fight the life threatening disease.
Broom church will be hosting a Jubilee Street Party on Sunday 3rd June 2012 from 12 noon until 3pm.
Bunting craft, Face Painting, Chocolate Tombola,Cake and Candy, Bracelet Making, Beat the Goalie, Fire Truck, Ice Cream , Hot Dogs, Magicians, Competitions, Jubilee Soap, Street Games and much more!
Royal Theme Fancy Dress optional!
Come along in Union Jack colours, as a prince/princess,King/Queen or as a member of the Royal Family!
Refreshment vouchers must be purchased in advance.

P3C would like to take this opportunity to send out a few final details. Below, we have listed the events which will be on offer on Wednesday 30th May:
- Face painting
- Jester show
- Photo booth, get your pic with “the Queen”
- Croquet on the lawn
- Mini golf
- Cupcake stall (20p each- 1 cake per child)
- Cucumber and cream cheese/ strawberry jam sandwiches
- Lemonade stall
- Commemorative memorabilia: key rings/ mini mug (£1 each/ 1 item per child)
- Picnic area
As most of the activities and goodies are free of charge, we would recommend children bring no more than £1.20.
We look forward to seeing our p1 and 2 pupils showing off their home made crowns and our P5 and 6 pupils their corsage/ buttonholes on Wednesday! All the jubilee homework activities have been fantastic! Examples of pupil work from across the school will be displayed at the Broom Church Jubilee street party on Sat 3rd May.
The Olympic Torch will be carried through Giffnock on Friday 8th June. Fenwick Road will be closed from Orchard Park to Eastwood Toll from 2.30 pm to allow for celebrations and the safe carriage of the Olympic Torch. Come along and line the streets!
Meeting of Minority Ethnic Parent Forum has been postponed from 17th May.
Remember the primary 7 show is on 10th May. There will be a daytime performance and an evening performance.
