Christmas Services

Christmas services will take place on Wednesday 21st December. The P1-4 service will start at 10 am and the P5-7 service will start at 1pm.  As always, the services will be led by Rev Jim Boag.  Some ladies from Broom Church have kindly offered to provide tea and coffee in the church vestibule. This will be after the P1-4 service, but before the P5-7 service from 12.30pm. We hope as many of you as possible will join together for a mince pie and chat.  All donations for coffee will as usual go to charity.

This year our Senior Choir led by Mrs Woods, our Junior Choir led by P7 pupils, our violin group led by Mr Robinson and our Strings Group led by P7 pupils will all be performing at the services.

Due to the timings, we have made the following change for Wednesday 21st December only:

Whole school lunchtime 11;45-12.30pm

We hope to see you at the church to join in our celebrations.

St. Andrew’s Day Celebrations

On the 30th of November it was St Andrew’s Day and every class did an activity to celebrate.  Primary 1 read about the MacBear family who had a party every year hosted by Granny Agnes and Grandpa James. They decided to make bears to go to the party. They were all so good.  Primary 2 coloured a Jigsaw of the Loch Ness Monster. They used different shades of blue and made it look so colourful. They had a lot of skill to draw the Loch Ness Monster they used a lot of shading skills.  Primary 3 used paper plates to create a highland cow and read a wonderful story about an annoying cow that became not so annoying after he saved the rest of the cows from another cow.  Primary 4 did an amazing version of the song called ‘Ye canny shove yer granny aff a bus’ They even brought Granny Agnes the puppet along.  Primary 5 sang a lovely version of ‘Red yo yo’. Everyone enjoyed the song so much.  Primary 6 sang the ‘Jeely Piece Song’ and Mrs Jamieson’s class had some really good choreography.  Primary 7 did an amazing PowerPoint about St Andrew’s life which was very informative. They even did a play.  All the acts and arts and crafts were amazing so give them all a quiet cheer!!
