Liz Rodger, Activity Project Officer\u00a0 at Rouken Glen Park has arranged\u00a0for\u00a0taster sessions specifically for potential volunteers who have additional support\u00a0needs.\u00a0 This will take place \u00a0on Wednesday 29 April from 11 am to 2 pm.\u00a0\u00a0Taster sessions will be offered\u00a0in horticulture \u2013 developing our new flower beds, cutting back invasive species like bamboo, landscape photography, and making bug hotels and bird boxes.<\/p>\n

Participants should bring their own packed lunch and tea\/coffee and biscuits will be provided.<\/p>\n

In order to help volunteers with additional needs, I am able to offer bespoke environmental training opportunities for these groups of volunteers.\u00a0 Details will be discussed at our Taster Session on Wednesday 29 April.<\/p>\n

For anyone who is interested in volunteering but cannot attend on Wednesday 29 April, we are trialling our first Saturday volunteer taster session \u00a0on Saturday 23 May at 10 am, which is open to any potential volunteers.\u00a0 Anyone with additional needs will be welcome to attend and can book their place by calling 0141-557 3912 or emailing: roukenglenpark@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n
