Class Bute\u00a0have been\u00a0learning about materials<\/strong> for their science topic.<\/p>\n

Here is a quick update of what they have been doing over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n

Week 1<\/em><\/strong> – as an intro\u00a0they learned about the properties of straw, sticks and bricks via the story of The Three Little Pigs.<\/p>\n

Week 2<\/em><\/strong> – was all about sensory materials \u2013 gloop, waterballs, etc<\/p>\n

Weeks 3 – 5<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0is all about transforming paper using \u2018machines\u2019 \u2013 punches, embossers, staplers, scissors and a paper crinkler.<\/p>\n

This week class Bute are preparing for the Science Fair.\u00a0Their \u00a0invention is a paper aeroplane launcher<\/strong> mostly for use to support pupils in wheelchairs in flying a paper aeroplane.
\nThe class had great fun trying out this invention last week and you could hear the hearty laughter from Ethan as the aerolane was launched from outside the conference room.<\/p>\n
