The charity was founded by two parents following the diagnosis of their daughter.\u00a0 Therefore, we understand the challenges you face.\u00a0 This year has been particularly challenging due to the pandemic, so we have developed some exciting new services to help you.<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0 have partnered with leading wellbeing experts to develop two programmes for parents to enhance your wellbeing, which will begin in June (see details below).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Benefits &amp; time commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Both programmes will be piloted to allow us to learn from the feedback and experiences of the parents who attend.\u00a0 This will also provide parents with an opportunity to shape future services.\u00a0 We know your time is precious, so the sessions have been been specially designed to be flexible and to fit in with your busy life.<\/p>\n<p>For a sneak peek at what the programmes will include, watch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=U8ZixqbmX58\">this short video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Register your interest by 19 May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in taking part or want to attend a virtual information session to find out more, complete this\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartsurvey.co.uk\/s\/ZWRUSC\/\">short survey<\/a> by <strong><u>Wednesday 19th May.<\/u><\/strong> The information sessions will be hosted by Pam Donnelly, Avalon\u2019s founder and Chairperson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Avalon Parental Support &amp; Respite Services Avalon is a local charity set up to support parents caring for children with Autism.
