At Hazeldene Family Centre, we take the care, welfare and protection of our children very seriously. We believe all children have a right to feel safe within the Family Centre, home and community.<\/p>\n

Within our\u00a0Family Centre\u00a0we strive to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for our children, which promotes inclusion and achievement.<\/p>\n

All staff\u00a0have a\u00a0 professional responsibility to take action if we have\u00a0reason to believe a child is suffering, or is at risk of abuse.<\/p>\n

Our Child Protection policy\u00a0sets out what we will do if we have\u00a0reason to believe a child is being abused or is at risk of abuse, either within the home or the community. The policy is designed to ensure that children get the help they need when they need it.<\/p>\n

Every staff member undergoes a minimum of one child protection training activity every session. Many of our staff are more\u00a0extensively trained in specific areas of child protection to support and identify potential child protection concerns.<\/p>\n

All schools and Early Learning and\u00a0Childcare \u00a0settings\u00a0in East\u00a0Renfrewshire have comprehensive\u00a0pupil support\u00a0systems in place and we work closely with our partners in Social Work, Health and the Police.<\/p>\n
