East Renfrewshire Smile Month

All nursery schools and classes in East Renfrewshire have been invited to take part in a tooth-brushing initiative during the month of February. Staff and children have to report on their activities to promote the phrase “Hold that Smile”.

At Hazeldene we are planning to link experiences of “Hold That Smile” to the current learning in the school of rhyme, ICT, role play and a photographer visit.

As part of this children will:

  • be taking part in a “Hold That Smile” Ipad experience with Mrs Brown and Mrs Pert (pre-school children)/li>
  • be issued with leaflets to complete at home and return to nursery on 28th February. They will then receive a Hazeldene Hold That Smile Award.
  • be smiling well for the photographer visit,
  • be learning their own Hold That Smile rhyme/song.
  •  Please enjoy this at home too.

    Hazeldene Hold That Smile Song

(to the tune of “Skip to my Lou”)

Brush your teeth now, quick, quick, quick.
That’s them clean now for a while.
Smile for the camera, click, click, click.
That’s how to hold your Hazeldene smile!
