Tooth-brushing Programme<\/span><\/p>\n

Childsmile is a national programme designed to improve the oral health of children in Scotland and reduce inequalities both in dental health and access to dental services. Good oral health in childhood means healthy teeth and gums throughout life. Childsmile is working to ensure all children, regardless of income or background, have the best possible start in life. \u00a0Young children need help with tooth brushing on a daily basis, with research showing us we need to brush at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

At Glen Family Centre we have a \u2018Smile Too\u2019 award and understand the importance of tooth brushing in young children. \u00a0Our tooth-brushing programme is part of our daily nursery routine and is a fun and educational experience for your child. \u00a0Your child will be allocated a toothbrush with a picture on it that will be stored in an individual container. \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Containers are washed regularly with hot soapy water and the toothbrushes are replaced on a regular basis. \u00a0Someone from \u2018Smile Too\u2019 visits the centre regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n
