JST

What is the Joint Support Team ?

The JST is a multi-agency group that meet each month to discuss the needs of children and families and the range of support that could be offered to best meet these needs.

We are keen to provide the best service we can for you and your child.  Family needs can change over time and families may need a little extra support or guidance during these times.  In some circumstances we cannot offer this support alone and therefore work closely with colleagues who are specialist in other fields.

In Glen Family Centre the JST is:

Christine Bell                                     Head of Centre (Tel: 0141 570 7510)

Jackie Campbell                                Depute Head of Centre

Rose Gillen                                        Request for assistance, social work

Gillian Thorburn                               Educational Psychologist

Marie Graham                                   Link Health Visitor

Katie Walters                                     Link Speech & Language Therapist

 When is the JST?

JST meetings are approximately every 4 weeks. They last for 1-2 hours during which time several children are likely to be discussed.

Do Parents need to attend?

Parents don’t need to attend the JST. Glen Family Centre staff will chat with you before hand to ensure you are aware of why we want to discuss your child and to seek your permission to do so.

What Happens Next?

After the JST we will provide you with detailed feedback. No action will be taken regarding your child without your consent and approval. Recommendations made as a result of the group will be discussed with you at length during an individual follow-up meeting and you will be involved in any future planning.

If you would like more information please do not hesitate to speak to your key worker or contact Christine Bell,HoC.
